리움미술관 M2 2층에서 열리는 아이디어 뮤지엄 《블랙 퀀텀 퓨처리즘 : 타임 존 프로토콜》에 석운동은 공간조성으로 참여했습니다. 

블랙 퀀텀 퓨처리즘은 카메이 아예와(aka 무어 마더)와 라시다 필립스가 공동으로 만든 다학제적 예술 실천으로, 양자물리학, 흑인 디아스포라의 시간 경험, 아프리카 고유의 시간 개념을 연결해 대항 역사와 흑인 퀀텀 여성주의적 미래를 상상하는 틀을 제시해 왔습니다. 이들은 세계화된 시간 체계가 흑인 공동체의 과거·현재·미래에 대한 접근과 시간적 자율성을 어떻게 제한해 왔는지를 분석하며, 흑인의 경험과 시간적 주체성에 중심을 둔 새로운 시간의 정치학을 탐구합니다. 블랙 퀀텀 퓨처리즘의 흑인-여성-퀀텀-시간성은 석운동의 관심과도 연결되어 영감과 흥미 속에서 진지하게 작업할 수 있었습니다. 워크숍, 퍼포먼스, 언컨퍼런스, 전시로 진행되는 아이디어 뮤지엄의 유동적 구성에 맞추어 가구들은 이동 및 재배치 할 수 있는 형태로 설계, 제작했습니다. 

아름다운 무대와 리추얼 룸의 조경 연출은 OXX 유진과의 협업을, 패브릭과 무대의 그래픽 연출은 SAA와의 협업을 통해 이루어졌습니다.

Seokundong participated in the spatial design for Black Quantum Futurism: Time Zone Protocol, presented on the second floor of M2 at the Leeum Museum of Art as part of the Idea Museum program.

Black Quantum Futurism—a multidisciplinary artistic practice jointly founded by Camae Ayewa (aka Moor Mother) and Rasheedah Phillips—has developed a framework that connects quantum physics with the temporal experiences of the Black diaspora and African Indigenous concepts of time. Their work examines how globalized time systems have restricted Black communities’ access to their past, present, and future, as well as their temporal autonomy, proposing instead a new politics of time centered on Black experience and temporal subjectivity.

The Black–female–quantum temporality explored in Black Quantum Futurism resonates deeply with Seokundong’s own interests, allowing us to engage in the project with both inspiration and seriousness. Responding to the flexible structure of the Idea Museum—which unfolds through workshops, performances, unconferences, and exhibitions—we designed and produced movable and reconfigurable furniture to accommodate shifting program needs.
The atmospheric staging of the performance space and the ritual room was realized in collaboration with OXX Yujin, while the fabric and stage graphics were developed in collaboration with SAA.
