석운동은 모두미술공간-ACC 협력전시 《우리 몸에는 타인이 깃든다 》의 전시 연계프로그램  <회색 조명 만들기>를 기획하고 진행했습니다.

전시 연계 프로그램  1 <회색 조명 만들기>는 4명의 시각장애 예술인(장근영, 이성수, 염경례, 김민지)과 함께 각 예술가의 시야와 빛에 대한 감각 혹은 기억에 맞는 조명을 상상하고 만드는 프로그램입니다. 본 워크숍은 시각장애 예술인 장근영의 빛에 대한 에세이에서 출발했습니다.

우리는 누구나 빛을 느끼며 살아가지만, 빛이 얼마나 다양한 방식으로 느껴질 수 있는지에 대해 질문하는 일은 드뭅니다. 누구에게도 완전히 편안하지 않은 빛, 개인적인 빛 경험, 존재하지 않는 '회색 빛'에 대한 장근영의 질문을 이어받습니다.

워크숍을 통해 우리가 이해하고 있는 빛에 대해 질문하고, 빛이 얼마나 다양한 방식으로 이해되고 구성될 수 있는지 생각해봅니다.

Seokundong organized and facilitated Gray Light Making, an educational program presented in conjunction with the collaborative exhibition Our Bodies Have Others at Mudu Art Space and ACC.

Program 1 — Gray Light Making
This workshop was created with four visually impaired artists — Jang Geun-young, Lee Sung-su, Yeom Kyung-rye, and Kim Min-ji — imagining and crafting lights that correspond to each artist’s field of vision, sensory experience of light, or memory of brightness. The program originated from an essay on light written by visually impaired artist Jang Geun-young.

We all live with light, yet we rarely ask how differently it can be perceived. The workshop continues Jang’s questions about light that is never entirely comfortable for anyone, light shaped by personal experience, and the idea of a “gray light” that may not even exist.

Through this process, participants are invited to rethink what we assume light to be, and to consider how many forms, meanings, and sensations light can take.
