예로부터 선조들은 정원을 매개로 삼아 자연과의 대화를 추구하며, 자신만의 이상향을 구현하고자 했다. 정원은 그들에게 ‘자연 위에 그려진 그림’이자, ‘시대와 장소가 빚어낸 독창적 문화’로서, 단순한 아름다움을 넘어 깊은 철학과 상징을 품은 공간이었다. 미음완보(微吟緩步)는 단순히 정원을 감상하는 것을 넘어 자연과 교감하고 내면을 바라보는 심미적 과정을 담고 있다.

본 전시는 현대의 분주함 속에서 느린 걸음으로 자연과 인간 그리고 예술이 어우러진 선조들의 발자취를 읊조리며 성찰하는 여정을 제시한다.

Since ancient times, our ancestors have sought dialogue with nature through gardens as a medium and strived to materialize their utopia. For them, the garden was both a “painting on nature” and a “unique cultural creation shaped by time and place”—a space embodying deep philosophy and symbolism beyond mere beauty. Mieumwanbo transcends simple garden appreciation, encompassing an aesthetic process of communing with nature and introspection.

This exhibition guides visitors on a contemplative journey, following in the footsteps of Korea’s ancestors who achieved harmony between nature, humanity, and art—offering a moment of slow reflection amid the rush of modern life.
